Welcome to my ePortfolio! I am an adjunct instructor in the Applied Business Department of Phoenix College, which is part of the Maricopa Community College District. I have the privilege of teaching MGT276 Personnel/Human Resources Management, which became fully online via WebCT for Fall semester 2005. This class is typically offered in both Fall and Spring semesters each year. MGT276 is a fundamental human resources course that is perfect for both the student who has had little or no exposure to HR in the past, as well as individuals who are more familiar with HR and its various disciplines. I have provided some additional information about the course under the pull down menu above.
A little bit about me… I have been in human resources for over 15 years, most recently as a regional director. I am SPHR certified and hold both an undergraduate and a master's degree in human resources. I thoroughly enjoy this field both in consulting with clients and teaching. My specialties include employee relations, supervision, training, staffing, harassment, coaching/counseling, and other behavioral employment topics. I have been designing and instructing/facilitating HR and business management courses for several years both in person and online, in "industry" as well as academia. I live in Phoenix, Arizona with my hubby, darling daughter, and two wonderful retrievers.
